Seniorjournalist and The Hans India correspondent PV Satyanarayana has been appointed as a National Council member of the Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ), a prominent organisation representing working journalists.

The appointment was made by IFWJ secretary general Paramanand Pandey on the recommendation of Kappara Prasad Rao, South secretary of the federation.

According to the appointment letter, Satyanarayana’s tenure will be coterminous with the existing Working Committee and continue until the next presidential election of the organisation.

Congratulating him on the appointment, the federation expressed confidence that his professional experience and organisational capabilities would contribute to strengthening the organisation. The secretary general also stated that Kappara Prasad Rao had assured his support to Satyanarayana whenever required.

Satyanarayana is a senior journalist associated with The Hans India and has around two decades of experience in news reporting and field journalism. He has extensively covered public administration, political developments, government programmes, agriculture, social issues and developmental activities in Khammam district and surrounding areas of Telangana.

His reporting has focused on public concerns, governance, welfare initiatives and regional development, reflecting his long-standing engagement with grassroots journalism.

The appointment is expected to provide him with an opportunity to contribute to the federation’s organisational activities and initiatives concerning the interests and professional concerns of working journalists.
