New Delhi:Copper prices fell by Rs 18.75 to Rs 1,371.65 per kilogram in futures trade amid muted demand in the domestic spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the copper contract for October delivery slipped by 1.35 per cent in 3,114 lots. Traders said subdued domestic demand from consuming industries weighed on the red metal's prices in futures trade.

Zinc futures ease on weak trend

Zinc prices fell Rs 2.25 to Rs 420.85 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced exposure, tracking negative cues in the spot market. Zinc contracts for October delivery fell 0.53 per cent in 582 lots. Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants, owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market, mainly weighed on zinc prices.

Aluminium futures down on low bets

Aluminium prices fell marginally by Rs 1.30 to Rs 323.65 per kg in futures trade as participants trimmed their positions amid a weak trend in spot markets.
