New Delhi:Copper prices fell by Rs 3.85 to Rs 1,394.80 per kilogram in futures trade amid muted demand in the domestic spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the copper contract for November delivery slipped 0.28 per cent in 954 lots. Traders said subdued domestic demand from consuming industries weighed on the red metal's prices in futures trade.

Aluminium futures slip on weak trend

Aluminium prices fell marginally by Rs 1.80 to Rs 324.60 per kg in futures trade as participants trimmed their positions amid a weak trend in spot markets. Aluminium for delivery in October fell 0.55 per cent in 133 lots. Analysts said participants cutting down positions due to easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.

Zinc futures ease on muted demand

Zinc prices fell 95 paise to Rs 423.30 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced exposure, tracking negative cues in the spot market. Zinc contracts for October delivery fell 0.22 per cent in 493 lots.
