GovernmentAdvisor P Sudarshan Reddy stated that extensive arrangements are being made to provide all necessary infrastructure and basic amenities for devotees attending the Godavari Pushkaralu, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony for development works at Kandakurthi and Yancha ghats on Thursday, he mentioned that a massive influx of pilgrims is expected at various holy sites across the district during the festival scheduled for June and July next year.

Accompanied by District Collector Bhavesh Mishra and local public representatives, Sudarshan Reddy formally performed rituals to initiate key works. At the Triveni Sangam site in Kandakurthi, Renjal mandal, foundation stones were laid for a pushkara ghat costing Rs 6.05 crore, road construction works worth Rs 3.90 crore, and temple development works worth Rs 5 crore. Similarly, at Yancha in Navipet mandal, ceremonies were held for a pushkara ghat at a cost of Rs 2.15 crore alongside a road construction project valued at Rs 70 lakh. Sudarshan Reddy highlighted that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has allocated substantial funding with the intention of organising the event on a grand scale akin to the Kumbh Mela, noting that around 30 crore rupees will be spent on development works at Kandakurthi alone across various departments.

He emphasized that special focus is being given to essential facilities such as parking, drinking water, sanitation, electricity, medical assistance, changing rooms, and smooth traffic flow to ensure a safe environment for visitors. District Collector Bhavesh Mishra instructed the executing authorities to maintain high quality standards and strictly adhere to completion deadlines.
