        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">Thecash-strapped Telangana government, looking for avenues to boost revenues, proposes to make the Musi river, presently under phased rejuvenation, a money-spinner.</lang>
      </p>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">For context, the state government has launched the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd to clean the 55-kilometer urban stretch, build sewage treatment plants, and transform the corridor into a sustainable public space.</lang>
      </p>
      <p style=".Bodylaser">
        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">Right now, the government is focusing on creating a commercial demand for recycled water (grey water) from the Musi Rejuvenation Project. As the first phase of the Musi project, already grounded, is scheduled to completed by 2027;  the available water from the STPs along the Musi river would be on sale for commercial needs.</lang>
      </p>
      <p style=".Bodylaser">
        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">In view of mushrooming data centers and industrial estates at the Bharat Future City and in the PURE region, the government would start selling water to meet industrial needs. It is estimated that 1,900 MLD of recycled water from the STPs in the Musi project would be produced every day.  Since data centres required huge water for cooling and other purposes, officials said: “Arrangements are being made to cater to their needs once the Musi – phase one  project is completed next year.”</lang>
      </p>
      <p style=".Bodylaser">
        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">Presently, the establishment of data centres with 800 megawatts capacity are in various stages of completion. Each megawatt capacity requires around 15 million litres of water a year. The government estimates that 210 crore litres would be required every year to keep the existing and upcoming data centres in and around Hyderabad cool. “IT is impossible to meet the requirement of huge amounts of water to keep the systems at data centers cool round the clock with the available water resources in the state.</lang>
      </p>
      <p style=".Bodylaser">
        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">The available water in Musi during monsoon season would be enough to meet the requirements of data centres and other industrial needs.  A separate water supply network needs to be developed for all data centers. Water stock points should also be created around the data centers in the summer.</lang>
