MayorDevarakonda Sujatha Ashok assured residents of Islam Peta in Venkateswarapuram that steps would be taken to resolve their local issues.

As part of city tour, along with officials and party leaders she conducted a door-to-door visit in Islam Peta area of 53 Division on Thursday and interacted with residents to understand their problems. The Mayor instructed sanitation staff to maintain the division cleanly and to remove silt and waste from drains regularly.

She appealed to residents to segregate wet and dry waste while handing it over during door-to-door garbage collection and cooperate with the recycling process. She urged eligible residents to apply for old-age, widow and other pensions and avail themselves of government welfare benefits.
