Theimplementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission taken up by the Central and State Governments with the objective of providing safe drinking water to every household in rural areas, was expedited in Palnadu district, according to Narasaraopet MP Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu. In a statement, he stated that in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, the state government has initiated steps to revive 13,252 pending and cancelled drinking water works at an estimated cost of Rs 4,053.85 crore. He said that reviving the works that had remained stalled in the past would further strengthen drinking water infrastructure in rural areas.
