Guntur:Joint collector and Urban Land Ceiling Competent Authority Ashutosh Srivastava said that 335 applications have been received for the regularisation of ceiling and surplus lands that came under the government’s purview under the Urban Land Ceiling Act,1976. He called upon anyone who has objections to the applications to submit them by September 18. In a statement, he said that the government had issued GO Ms No 84 of the Revenue (Lands-VI) Department dated February 24, 2023, making certain amendments to the earlier GO Ms No 36 concerning the regularisation of ceiling and surplus lands.

As per the orders, applications submitted for the regularisation of ceiling lands will be examined by the Urban Land Ceiling District-Level Scrutiny Committee formed under the leadership of the district collector and chairman. After scrutiny, the applications will be forwarded to the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, he explained.
