Dr Galla Ramachandra Naidu, Founder Chairman of Amara Raja Group of Companies, has been conferred with the prestigious ‘Padma Shri Dr Yelavarthy Nayudamma Memorial Award–2026’.

Former Vice-President and Padma Vibhushan awardee M Venkaiah Naidu presented the award to Dr Galla at a programme in Tenali on Thursday. The memorial award, instituted annually on the birth anniversary of renowned scientist and Padma Shri awardee Dr Yelavarthy Nayudamma, will be bestowed upon prominent personalities, who have rendered distinguished service in various fields for the betterment of the nation.

Dr Galla Ramachandra Naidu was selected for this honor in recognition of his distinguished contributions to the growth of Amara Raja Group in the industrial sector. The award also acknowledges his extensive services in education, healthcare, skill development, rural development and social welfare.

Addressing the gathering, Venkaiah Naidu commended the organisation of programmes that commemorate the services of Dr Yelavarthy Nayudamma. Dr Galla Ramachandra Naidu stated that it is a great honour to receive the award instituted and promised to continue to contribute to the development of society to the best of his ability.
