NelloreUrban Development Authority Chairman (Nuda) Chairman Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy has directed officials to take stringent action and book cases against those, who are developing layouts without obtaining necessary permissions from the government.

He held a review meeting with the officials over status of layouts, applications received under Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) and unauthorised layouts, at his office on Thursday.

Expressing angry over illegal formation of layouts, the Chairman directed officials to identify all layouts developed without NUDA approval within the authority’s jurisdiction. He stressed the need to provide awareness among public about LRS. He directed officials to scrutinise LRS applications as per the prescribed rules and expedite disposal of eligible applications.

The NUDA chief appealed to people not to purchase plots in layouts that do not have NUDA approval and advised prospective buyers to verify whether a layout has valid NUDA permission before purchasing a plot. He directed officials to give priority in identifying and acting against unauthorised layouts while expediting disposal of eligible LRS applications.
