        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">Thestate government has set an October deadline to accelerate the conversion of investment proposals into actual projects, directing collectors to personally monitor land availability, approvals and other bottlenecks.</lang>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">At the Collectors’ Conference, industries and commerce department nodal secretary N Yuvaraj said the government aimed to convert at least 80 per cent of the 463 MoUs signed under PS-2025 by the end of October. So far, 198 have been converted, while 172 are pending. The remaining proposals represent about Rs 5.54 lakh crore investment and 5.4 lakh jobs.</lang>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">Similarly, the government is targeting 75 per cent grounding of 359 SIPB-approved projects by October. Of these, 160 have commenced, while 109 are yet to be grounded. The pending projects involve around Rs 6.35 lakh crore investment and nearly two lakh jobs.</lang>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">Yuvaraj said 88,678 acres had been requisitioned for industrial purposes since June 2024, but only 22,533 acres had been acquired. Of 30,223 acres of government land requisitioned, 17,469 acres were still awaiting handover to APIIC.</lang>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">He directed collectors to expedite land acquisition, remove eligible lands from the 22-A prohibited list and complete mutations in APIIC’s name. Though 9,933 acres have been removed from 22-A, another 59,080 acres remain pending. Mutation has been completed for only 5,184 of the 49,074 acres for which requests were initiated. Collectors were also told to hold DIEPC meetings every fortnight to resolve pending NOCs, environmental clearances, building approvals and other hurdles.</lang>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">ITE&amp;C secretary Katamneni Bhaskar said AP is targeting 6.5 GW of data-centre capacity by 2030, requiring faster land and infrastructure support in Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli and Vizianagaram. Around 1,000 acres is proposed for an IT Park in Visakhapatnam, while 100 acres is sought for IT and GCC parks.</lang>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">The government is also pushing electronics, semiconductors and quantum technology. A 250-acre Quantum Hardware Park is proposed in or around Amaravati, while the Quantum Computing Centre is being readied to host the IBM machine by October 15. The state has 23.85 lakh MSMEs, with 138 of 175 proposed MSME parks approved and 22 already operational. Collectors were asked to ensure the remaining parks and investment projects are grounded on schedule.</lang>
