Theoutcome of the Chinnamadaram sarpanch election in Kanagal mandal of Nalgonda district has once again come under suspense with votes set to be recounted on September 19. The recounting will be conducted at 11 am on the Nalgonda court premises to re-examine the result, which was decided by a narrow margin of only 13 votes. The ballot boxes related to the election are already under the custody of the court.

The court has appointed MV Raghava Rao as the Advocate Commissioner to supervise the recounting process.

In the previous election, Congress-backed candidate Mallekanti Sujatha emerged victorious defeating BJP candidate Pindi Bhagyamma. Alleging irregularities during the counting process, Bhagyamma approached the court seeking legal intervention.

After hearing her petition, the court recently ordered a recounting of the votes. The decision has now generated considerable interest among the candidates and villagers, who are keenly awaiting the outcome.
