ChiefMinister A Revanth Reddy has made it clear to Congress MLAs that only the performance of every legislator will determine the success of the party and therefore their own conduct will influence the chances of their winning a second term in the next elections. The Chief Minister instructed all MLAs to attend the ongoing Assembly session and raise local issues in the House.

The Chief Minister presided over the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting here on Thursday, with Ministers, government whips and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president in tow. He told the legislators that people gave a big mandate in the last elections; so, everyone has to work hard to succeed politically in the future as well. Revanth Reddy commended the legislators for strongly countering the Opposition's conspiracy and exposing their “plot” against the government to the public. An inquiry into the incidents that took place has already been initiated. The opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi had “conspired” to disrupt the Assembly session, he reiterated. Even after losing power, BRS leaders had refused to shed their arrogance. The opposition leaders abused police officials and public representatives verbally. They behaved inappropriately towards officials and caused embarrassment by taking off their T-shirts in the presence of female officers. The use of highly objectionable language to abuse the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly was uncalled for. The BRS also insulted the Dalit community by "purifying" the ground where Dalits had walked at KCR’s farmhouse.
