BJP SC Morcha State President Kanthi Kiran stated on Thursday that both the previous BRS regime and current Congress government in Telangana are hurting Dalit sentiments for narrow political gains. Addressing media personnel, Kanthi Kiran accused both parties of reducing Dalits to vote banks and deriving sadistic pleasure from undermining community self-respect. \

BJP Official Spokesperson Abhishek Jigini, alongside SC Morcha leaders Ramaswamy, Shravan, Arvind, and Rammohan, declared that abusive comments made against a Dalit holding the constitutional office of Legislative Assembly Speaker reflect an anti-Dalit mindset. They strongly condemned the sprinkling of turmeric water for purification at a spot outside BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao farmhouse following drum protests by Dalit groups.

The leaders remarked that BRS is reviving century-old discriminatory practices, asserting that insulting the Dalit community living with dignity under the Constitution authored by BR Ambedkar remains an unforgivable offence. They expressed anguish over an incident where Congress youth wing workers attacked the BJP state office and smeared black ink on posters commemorating the 650th birth anniversary of Saint Ravidas Maharaj, criticizing police inaction despite formal complaints.

The BJP leaders noted that Chandrashekar Rao made false promises to install a Dalit Chief Minister, while Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy assumed power making unfulfilled commitments through the Dalit Declaration.

Contrasting state politics with central initiatives, they emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi government continues taking tangible steps to empower the Dalit community, assuring that the party will not remain a silent spectator if Dalit self-respect is undermined anywhere in Telangana.
