Incontinuation of the ongoing investigation into the missing service weapons case on Army premises, investigating agencies questioned three senior officers on Thursday to secure vital leads. Taking serious note of the weapon theft episode reported in Hyderabad, senior officials collected CCTV footage from inside the Madras Regiment, where miscreants stole the armaments.

Investigators suspect that the miscreants stole weapons in a phased manner, noting that surveillance cameras were switched off when the breach occurred inside the military installation. Meanwhile, senior officials maintain close vigil on several suspects, including recently apprehended Bangladeshi nationals, surrendered Maoists, and recently released prison inmates, to establish breakthroughs in the case.

Highlighting the gravity of the incident, senior Defence Ministry officials from Delhi remain in continuous contact with Army authorities in Hyderabad to receive daily updates regarding investigation progress and security reviews.
