MLA Veerlapalli Shankar stated that the fighting spirit of armed struggle warrior Chakali Ailamma remains unforgettable.

On the occasion of Ailamma’s 41st death anniversary, he paid floral tributes at her statue near the MPDO office in Shadnagar town on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA recalled that Ailamma bravely fought for land and livelihood, against bonded labour, social discrimination, and exploitation. He emphasized that her struggle for the rights of the poor and marginalised continues to inspire today’s generation. He noted that Ailamma stands as a symbol of Telangana’s self-respect and women’s fighting spirit.

Public representatives, leaders of the Rajaka community, senior Congress leaders, and activists participated in the programme.
