Bengaluru:The Governor of Karnataka Thaawarchand Gehlot felicitated and congratulated the Padma Awardees of 2026 at Lok Bhavan. Congratulating the distinguished recipients of the Padma Awards, among the country’s highest civilian honours, he said their exceptional service and achievements in various fields would continue to inspire society and future generations. From Karnataka, Shatavadhani Dr. R Ganesh was conferred the Padma Bhushan. Padma Shri was conferred on Ankegowda M, Dr. S G Susheelamma, Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Shashi Shekhar Vempati, Dr. Shubha Venkatesha Iyengar, Dr. Suresh Hanagavadi and Late T T Jagannathan. The Governor felicitated the awardees who were present and Latha Jagannath, wife of Late T T Jagannathan, who received the honour on his behalf. Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker G S Patil, Legislative Council Chairman Salim Ahmed and other dignitaries were also present.
