Thetalks between the Telangana government and the Employees’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) fructified on Wednesday, with the government taking some major decisions concerning implementation of new PRC, release of pending DAs, and consideration of the demand for the cancellation of the Contributory Pension scheme (CPC) by a panel.

Consequently, the JAC called off the proposed strike from Thursday.

State Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju instructed the head of the second Pay Revision Commission (PRC) N Sivashankar to complete the report on new pay scales expeditiously and submit the same to the government. In another big announcement, the government said that a committee would be constituted to study the demand for the cancellation of the Contributory Pension Scheme ( CPS) and called a meeting with the leaders of employees’ unions to discuss the release of pending DAs and other bills.
