TelanganaChief Electoral Officer C Sudarshan Reddy on Wednesday directed election officials to complete the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls transparently, without errors, and within stipulated deadlines. Accompanied by District Collector Bhavesh Mishra, the CEO inspected field-level operations at Ambedkar Bhavan in Nirmal town.

Speaking on the occasion, Sudarshan Reddy instructed officials to ensure that names of all eligible citizens are included while identifying and deleting entries of deceased individuals and permanent migrants in accordance with Election Commission regulations.

During the inspection, the CEO examined applications and voter lists maintained by Booth Level Officers, inquiring about registration progress. He ordered the immediate rectification of errors in voter names, ages, and addresses. Emphasizing thoroughness during door-to-door verification, he instructed officers that modifications, additions, or deletions must rely solely on verified field documentation. Sudarshan Reddy called for widespread awareness campaigns encouraging youth reaching 18 years of age to enrol as voters and guiding citizens on verifying their entries. Urging BLOs to act with utmost responsibility, he stated that maintaining accuracy in electoral rolls remains crucial for conducting fair elections across the state.

District Collector Bhavesh Mishra briefed the CEO, stating that revision operations across Nirmal district are progressing meticulously under official guidelines.

He directed BLOs to remain accessible to citizens, resolve field queries promptly, ensure no eligible voter is omitted, and remove ineligible entries. Additional Collector B Venkateswarlu, DSP Srinivas, RDO Devidas, and tahsildar Raju participated in the inspection program alongside electoral staff.

The comprehensive review underscored the state election authority commitment to building an updated, foolproof electoral database ahead of upcoming polls. Field staff were instructed to verify household data diligently, preventing duplicate entries and maintaining high operational transparency throughout the revision exercise across all polling stations in the district.
