SrisailamDevasthanam is making elaborate preparations for the annual Dasara Mahotsavams, scheduled to be celebrated from October 11 to 20.

Executive Officer M Srinivasa Rao chaired a preliminary review meeting with temple priests, Vedic scholars, and department heads on Wednesday to outline operational plans for the 10-day festival.

The discussions covered ritualistic schedules, daily Vahana Sevas, Navadurga Alankarams for Goddess Bhramaramba Devi, and major festival highlights, including the Nijaroopa Alankaram, Shami Puja, and Teppotsavam on Vijayadashami.

EO Srinivasa Rao instructed temple departments to work in total coordination, ensuring strict adherence to traditional ritual timings.

Final operational blueprints will be presented at the upcoming Dharma-Karma Mandali meeting.

To handle the anticipated influx of pilgrims, the engineering wing was directed to setup LED screens at key locations and execute extensive electrical illumination across the shrine.

The gardens wing will decorate the premises traditionally with fresh flowers, while security personnel and police will enforce strict traffic and parking management to prevent bottlenecks during village processions.

For pilgrim comfort, thequeue management team was instructed to maintain an uninterrupted supply of drinking water, milk, and snacks in queue lines, alongside regular Anna Prasadam service. The sanitation wing has been tasked with continuous cleaning of public utilities and temple surroundings. Cultural programs including Harikatha, discourses, instrumental music, and traditional danceswill perform at the Nitya Kala Vedika, while folk troupes featuring Kolatam and Chekka Bhajana will accompany the daily processions.
