Bhadrachalam:Claiming that the people are looking for a double-engine government in the State, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar asserted that the BJP was certain to come to power in Telangana in the next Assembly elections. Addressing a BJP workers’ gathering here on Wednesday, Sanjay alleged that the previous BRS government was worse than the rule of the Razakars and claimed that the Congress government has already lost public support within a short period. “Earlier, a family looted the state; now ministers and MLAs are looting it,” he alleged.

Sanjay said the BJP, which was once mocked for having only two Lok Sabha seats, had subsequently formed the government at the Centre three consecutive times under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In contrast, he claimed, the Congress, which once had a nationwide presence, has been reduced to a handful of states.

“The Congress’ game will be over and its shop will be shut in the four states this time,” he said, referring to upcoming elections.

The Union Minister alleged that several thousand crores of rupees had been sanctioned by the Centre for the erstwhile Khammam district, but local ministers were taking credit for the funds.

He also raised the issue of lands placed under the prohibited list under Section 22-A, claiming that lakhs of acres were affected and poor people were facing difficulties. He demanded that the government address the issue immediately.
