New Delhi:Aluminium prices rose marginally by Rs 1.25 to Rs 354 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. The price of aluminium for delivery in September rose 0.35 per cent in 192 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.

Copper futures flat on muted demand

Copper prices were almost flat at Rs 1,412.10 per kilogram in futures trade amid muted demand in the domestic spot market. The copper contract for September delivery slipped 0.04 per cent in 2,676 lots.

Zinc futures climb on higher bets

Zinc prices rose by 0.61 per cent to Rs 427.25 per kg in futures trade due to higher bets by market participants. Zinc contracts for September delivery edged up by Rs 2.60 in 614 lots. Traders attributed the rise in zinc futures to higher demand in the spot market.
