Followingthe objections raised by YSRCP over the alleged irregularities in Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and directions from the Election Commission of India, the district administration will organise two-day special camps on August 22 and 23.

It should be noted here that YSRCP had accused Booth Level Officers of adopting wrong procedures and targeted Municipal Administration Minister Ponguru Narayana, lodging complaints with the ECI and State Election Commission and filing a High Court petition questioning his participation in BLO review meetings.

District Collector and District Election Officer Himanshu Shukla, however, stated that 85 per cent of voter enumeration under SIR had been completed successfully and ruled out irregularities. In a press note on Friday, he said camps will be held at all polling stations from 10 am to 5 pm on both days. BLOs and Booth Level Agents will be present. Draft electoral rolls (qualifying date July 1, 2026), ASDD lists and Forms 6, 7 and 8 will be available. Officials will guide voters, especially those aged 18-19, and accept applications for inclusion, corrections, objections or deletions. The Collector appealed to all eligible citizens to utilise the camps and ensure accurate entries in the rolls.
