• Alleges cadre ratio is not being implemented in technical colleges

TelanganaSchools and Technical Colleges Employees Association (TSTCEA) State President Aineni Santosh Kumar demanded the implementation of facial recognition attendance in colleges.

In a statement on Friday, he said that last year, the Telangana state government issued a circular to implement a facial recognition attendance system in place of biometric attendance in technical colleges, mainly engineering, pharmacy, MBA, and MCA colleges.

However, it is still not being implemented, leading to a shortage of faculty to provide quality education to students. “With the implementation of the biometric system in many colleges with silicon thumbs, and in some colleges with biometrics in the morning and evening, it is clear that students are not getting quality education”, he added.

To stop this practice, he urged the implementation of the Facial Recognition Attendance System and the hiring of many unemployed teachers so that students can receive quality education. Also, the cadre ratio is not being implemented in technical colleges, and steps should be taken to implement it,” he demanded.
