BJP Telangana president N Ramchander Rao warned that the party would intensify its agitation if the State government failed to clear pending fee reimbursement and scholarship dues. Addressing a ‘Fee Bakayi–BJP Ladayi’ Maha Dharna organised by the BJYM in Karimnagar, Rao alleged that nearly 20 lakh students were awaiting payments, putting financial pressure on students, parents and educational institutions. He claimed around Rs 8,000 crore in dues were pending and alleged that the government had failed to release even the Rs 2,000 crore it had proposed following High Court concerns. He said delayed payments were affecting colleges and faculty salaries.

BJYM State president Ganesh Kunde said protests would be intensified and warned of possible Collectorate sieges if the demands were not met. BJP leaders and students participated in the dharna.
