Congressleaders from Parakala constituency strongly condemned the comments made by Konda Sushmita Patel, daughter of Minister Konda Surekha, on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy.

Addressing a press conference held at the MLA’s camp office in Parakala town of Hanumakonda district on Thursday, former TPCC general secretary and former MPP Bhimagani Soujanya said that it is meaningless for Sushmita to criticise CM Revanth Reddy for asking people to bless Revuri Prakash Reddy again after seeing the development of Parakala in a recent public meeting held in the constituency.

She said that it is prerogative of the Congress party high command to give a ticket to whom he deems fit. Moreover, it is not right for those who are not related to the Congress to interfere in the internal affairs of the party. She said that Sushmita does not have a Congress party membership and should first know her political status before speaking.

She said that it is Sushmita who is causing political damage to Minister Konda Surekha by commenting that the family that moved away from Parakala out of fear of former MLA Challa Dharmareddy is theirs and by interfering in irrelevant matters. She made it clear that if the Congress party gives a ticket to Revuri Prakash Reddy,all the party ranks will work for his victory.

Sushmita, who says that Parakala is hers, demanded that she must tell the people what development she has done for Parakala. She demanded an immediate public apology for her comments on CM Revanth Reddy and MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy.

Former ZPTC and DCC general secretary Padi Kalpana Devi said, “Parakala Gadda is not anyone’s property.” She said that it is strange for someone from a family that has been away from Parakala since 2012 to claimthat Parakala Gadda is theirs. She suggested that if they want to grow politically, they should first change their language and personality. She warned that if CM Revanth Reddy and MLA Prakash Reddy are criticized, the Congress ranks will not stand moot spectator.

Former Nagaram Sarpanch and DCC secretary Katkuri Sravanthi said, “It is not right to make inappropriate comments on CM Revanth Reddy and MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy, who prioritises women. She said that Sushmita’s comments in the past were forgiven because of her mother and Minister Konda Surekha. She said it was inappropriate to criticize Congress leaders once again.

She stated that Sushmita Patel does not have any membership in the Congress party.

DCC general secretary Padi Kalpana Devi, DCC secretary Katkuri Sravanthi, Municipal Vice Chairman Eku Divya, Councilors Porandla Mounika, Bochu Subhadra, former Councilor Panchgiri Jayamma, Dairy Farm president Kachkayala Aruna, Vice President More Kavitha, Mahila Congress leaders Lakshmi Rao, Lakkam Vasantha, Dasari Padma, Kavitha, MD Rahema, and Adapa Rama participated in this meeting.
