Mancherial:Polytechnic students of Singareni Polytechnic on Thursday besieged the Collectorate, demanding immediate withdrawal of GO 97 issued by the Telangana government to merge the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) with the Shakti Scheme.

Leaders of PDSU, USFI, AISB and Navataram Student Federation (NSF) joined the protest and extended solidarity to the students. Addressing the gathering, student leaders criticised the government’s decision and alleged that the proposed merger could affect the future of polytechnic students.
