Eligiblegirl students from Polavaram district have been urged to make use of the Azim Premji Scholarship Programme 2026-27 to pursue higher education. District collector K Dinesh Kumar said in a statement on Thursday that the scholarship is available to eligible girls who have secured admission to the first year of their first undergraduate degree or diploma course during the 2026-27 academic year.

Under the programme, financial assistance of Rs 30,000 will be provided every year.

The assistance will continue for the full duration of the selected first undergraduate degree or diploma course, subject to the programme guidelines. The Collector said applicants should have completed Classes 10 and 12 as regular students in eligible government schools or colleges.

They should also have secured admission to the first year of an undergraduate degree or diploma course in a recognised higher education institution during the 2026-27 academic year. Applications for Round 1 are being accepted from August 10 to August 31, 2026. There is no application fee.

The Collector appealed to eligible students to submit their applications before the deadline and make use of the opportunity to continue their higher education. For further details, students can contact 9441201464.
