Tirumalawill host two Brahmotsavams this year due to Adhika Masam, prompting the TTD, district administration and police to draw up coordinated plans to manage the expected rush and ensure smooth conduct of the festivals. TTD Executive Officer M Ravichandra held a coordination meeting at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala on Thursday with Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, district Collector Dr S Venkateswar and Superintendent of Police L Subba Rayudu, along with other officials.

Salakatla Brahmotsavams will be held from September 15 to 23, while Navaratri Brahmotsavams will take place from October 12 to 20. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will present silk robes on behalf of the State government on September 15. Ankurarpana for Salakatla Brahmotsavams will be held on September 14 and Garuda Seva on September 19.

Ravichandra directed officials to make all necessary arrangements to ensure that devotees do not face inconvenience during the festivals. He asked them to complete all pending works by September 14 and ensure that there was no compromise on the quality of services provided to devotees. The EO stressed the need to prepare quality Annaprasadam and ensure that nutritious and tasty food is served. He also directed officials to strengthen security arrangements and maintain a buffer stock of 10 lakh laddus for the Brahmotsavams. Special arrangements will be made for Garuda Seva to facilitate darshan for a large number of devotees. APSRTC buses will be operated according to the expected rush, while services of Srivari Sevaks will also be utilised during the festivals.

Speaking to the media, Additional EO Venkaiah Chowdary said arrangements had been planned keeping in view the increasing number of devotees visiting Tirumala. The experience of Ratha Saptami, when around 3.75 lakh devotees and 15,000 vehicles visited the temple town, was also taken into consideration while preparing the plans. Special attention has been given to Garuda Seva, with separate plans to manage the rush in Tirumala and Tirupati.

The district administration is preparing arrangements for disaster and crisis management, including NDRF and emergency response teams. The police have also planned the deployment, accommodation and duty allocation of personnel. The TTD vigilance wing and CVSO will finalise security deployment based on previous experience.

After the meeting, Ravichandra and district officials inspected the four Mada streets around the Srivari temple and reviewed the arrangements on the ground. TTD JEOs Dr A Sarath and Prabhala Gopinath and other officials attended the meeting.
