A new Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) was inaugurated at Padma Nagar on Hyderabad Road, in Nalgonda district headquarters on Thursday. The centre, established under the supervision of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), is aimed at providing Aadhaar enrolment, correction and update services closer to people in the district.

Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy inaugurated the centre and said Aadhaar has become an essential identity document for citizens. He stressed the need to make Aadhaar-related services easily accessible to the public.

The Minister said the Nalgonda facility was the fifth Aadhaar Seva Kendra in Telangana and would benefit residents of Nalgonda Municipal Corporation and surrounding areas. The centre is expected to reduce the need for people to travel to Hyderabad for Aadhaar-related services, saving them time, travel expenses and inconvenience. The centre will also function on Sundays, providing greater convenience to people who cannot visit on regular working days.
