Madhapurpolice booked Sanjush Lingamaneni, son of Andhra Pradesh Jana Sena Rajya Sabha MP Lingamaneni Ramesh, for alleged rash and negligent driving in connection with the death of a 26-year-old woman employee in a road accident near Inorbit Mall. Police registered a case against Sanjush under Section 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). According to police, Bharathi Mukhi, 26, who worked as a sales executive at the Lifestyle store in Inorbit Mall, was allegedly knocked down by an Aston Martin while crossing the road opposite the mall on August 16.

According to the FIR, Bharathi and her colleague Pooja Ashok had gone towards the nearby ITC Kohenur area for lunch. While returning to their workplace, Bharathi attempted to cross the road in front of the mall when she was allegedly hit by the Aston Martin driven by Sanjush.

Police said the car was allegedly being driven at high speed and in a rash and negligent manner. Bharathi suffered severe head injuries and sustained heavy bleeding. She was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

The case was registered based on a complaint lodged by Panjala Ashwin Kumar, the deceased woman’s store manager. Police said further investigation was underway to establish the exact circumstances leading to the accident.
