StateDirector of School Education Dr E Naveen Nicolas inaugurated the Medak District School Games Web Portal, an initiative aimed at strengthening transparency, systematic documentation, and digital management of school sports activities.

The portal was inaugurated during the School Games Federation of Telangana (SGFT) and the District School Education meeting, attended by the District School Games Organising Secretaries.

The portal will help you upload and maintain sports schedules, events, participation details, and achievements at Mandal, District, State, and National levels. It will also enable systematic generation and verification of participation and award records, thereby helping to prevent duplicate or forged sports certificates. The meeting was chaired by Dr Nicolas and the Secretary of SFGT, A Usha Rani, to plan and allot the State-Level Tournaments-cum-Selections for the academic year 2026–27.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were also held on the conduct and allotment of the 70th State-Level School Games Tournaments-cum-Selections for 2026–27. Please ensure proper planning, timely conduct of competitions, and effective coordination at the Mandal, District, and State levels. The Director of School Education emphasised the importance of encouraging sports and physical education in schools and providing suitable platforms for talented students to progress from school-level competitions to State and National-level events.

As part of the programme, tracksuits were distributed to the District School Games Organising Secretaries.

The School Education Director reiterated the commitment to strengthening school sports and promoting a transparent, organised, technology-enabled system for recognising and nurturing sporting talent among students across Telangana.
