TelanganaState BJP welcomed the Union Cabinet's decision encouraging every Union Minister to visit a university, interact directly with students, and understand the aspirations, concerns, and expectations of the younger generation.

On Thursday, BJP State Chief Spokesperson and Media In-charge N V Subash said the initiative reflected Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s consistent emphasis on engaging with young people and understanding their aspirations.

He said the Prime Minister had repeatedly used social media and direct interactions to remain connected with the younger generation and had encouraged his Cabinet colleagues to adopt a similar approach.

“Today’s youth are not merely beneficiaries of government programmes; they are active stakeholders in the making of New Bharat. Direct interaction with students will help ministers understand what young Indians expect from the government and enable them to shape policies and programmes accordingly,” Subash said.

He said the Prime Minister’s extraordinary reach on social media platforms reflected the strong connection he had established with younger Indians. Referring to his massive following, including the recent milestone of more than 100 million followers on Instagram, Subash said Modi’s digital engagement demonstrated the importance of maintaining a continuous dialogue with the youth.

Subash suggested that the initiative should not remain confined to Union Ministers. “The BJP should consider extending this outreach to its MPs, MLAs and Ministers in BJP-ruled States. The time has come for elected representatives to spend more time with young Indians, listen to them directly and understand their aspirations rather than relying solely on conventional feedback mechanisms,” he said.
