Toensure motorists do not face inconvenience under the newly implemented one-way traffic system around KBR Park, clear signboards have been installed at all junctions and adequate traffic personnel deployed to guide commuters. Hyderabad City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar inspected the arrangements on Thursday, riding a motorcycle to assess the traffic situation firsthand.

Without any fanfare and dressed in plain clothes, Sajjanar set out on a motorcycle at around 10 am to get a first-hand assessment of the traffic situation on the ground. He rode twice along the one-way route covering Road No. 45, Jubilee Check Post, Venkatagiri, KBR Park Main Gate, Mugdha Junction, Basavatarakam, Agrasen Chowrasta, and Film Nagar Junction and back to Road No 45.

The Police Commissioner again monitored traffic flow in the afternoon and interacted with personnel deployed at key junctions, including Agrasen Chowrasta, Film Nagar, Journalist Colony, Jubilee Hills Check Post and KBR Park Main Gate, to assess the situation and challenges on the ground.

Sajjanar said the one-way traffic system around KBR Park was flowing smoothly. While motorists faced some confusion over lane switching on the first day of implementation, vehicle movement became considerably smoother by Thursday, he said.

“To ensure that motorists do not face any inconvenience, clear sign boards have been set up at all junctions and sufficient personnel have been deployed to guide and assist commuters,” the Commissioner said.

He added that efforts were underway to complete the H-City project works at the earliest in coordination with GHMC and the construction agency. Appealing for public cooperation until the works are completed, Sajjanar urged motorists to strictly follow the Hyderabad Traffic Police guidelines and traffic regulations.
