MalkajgiriMunicipal Corporation Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy on Thursday issued clear instructions to the officers of various departments to take coordinated steps to resolve public issues within a time-bound manner during his visit to New Sri Sainagar Colony under Boduppal Circle.
He reviewed various civic and infrastructure issues received from the representatives of Sri Sai Nagar Welfare Association and locals. The Commissioner instructed the officers to immediately start the SNDP development works approved by the Standing Committee earlier. If the contractor fails to start the work, it is suggested that the necessary proposals for re-tendering should be submitted as per the rules.
The authorities have been instructed to issue notices to relocate the transformers on the road behind Anutex Commercial Complex to the premises of the respective property owners wherever possible and coordinate with the relevant departments.
The Commissioner has ordered the town planning authorities to take action against those who are using the cellar parking spaces in commercial buildings for other commercial activities.
The Commissioner has also directed that narrow roads in the colony be identified and steps be taken for road widening work in the necessary areas. It is suggested that a plan be prepared to reduce traffic congestion and provide better transportation facilities to the people.
The officials were instructed to bring the complaints received regarding drinking water pipeline leakages to the attention of HMWSSB officials and coordinate to resolve the issues expeditiously.
Noticing that several commercial establishments in the colony had not renewed their trade licences, the Commissioner issued notices to all the shop owners and directed the officials to take steps to ensure that the licenses are renewed by this week.
The officials were instructed to identify the unauthorised structures built encroaching on the parking area near Akshara School and issue notices to the owners concerned to remove them. The Commissioner ordered that mosquito control measures be intensified. It was suggested that continuous fogging should be carried out in all colonies and sufficient diesel, staff and other requirements should be provided to ensure that two fogging autos are fully available. It was directed that fogging vehicles should be used systematically in areas and cover all colonies.
