Residentsof Manikonda have raised concerns over attempts by some individuals to enter and allegedly encroach upon lands earlier protected by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA) in Tirumala Hills and Venkateswara Colony.

A delegation of the Federation of All Colonies RWAs of Manikonda, led by its president Arvapalli Vamshi, met HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath and brought the issue to his notice. The delegation urged HYDRAA to take immediate steps to ensure that the lands previously protected from encroachments continue to remain safeguarded.

According to the residents, Ranganath heard their concerns and assured them of efforts to protect the lands. He also directed HYDRAA senior inspectors to visit the sites and take appropriate action.

The delegation further requested HYDRAA’s support for developing a park, which is spread over 6,054 square yards space on the protected land for the benefit of residents and the wider community. Ranganath responded positively to the proposal and assured them that the matter would be examined, Vamshi said.

“We are hopeful that lands in Manikonda that have been protected from encroachments will continue to remain safeguarded. We will continue our efforts to protect these lands and ensure that the interests of residents and the community are protected,” Vamshi said.

Tirumala Hills Colony president Dr P Avinash, general secretary Srinivasa Rao, treasurer Subhash and other residents were present.
