Grade 8 student Ansh Kumar of Birla Open Minds International School, secured International Rank 118 and School Rank 1 in the LogiQids Olympiad 2025–26, competing against students from across the globe.

The Olympiad was conducted in two stages, beginning with a school-level round followed by an online round. According to the school, nearly 3,100 schools participated in this year’s competition. The result marked Ansh’s first participation in an international-level Olympiad.

Ansh said the scale of the competition initially made him nervous, but regular practice helped him approach the subsequent rounds with greater confidence. He prepared using LogiQids worksheets and worked on developing his logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities with support from his teachers.

His performance highlights the role of sustained practice and analytical thinking in competitive academic platforms. The Olympiad focuses on logical reasoning and encourages students to approach problems through observation, analysis and structured thinking.

The school introduced computational thinking as part of its academic curriculum this session, with activities designed to encourage students to examine problems from different perspectives and develop solutions. Such skills are increasingly relevant across academic disciplines and areas of future study.

His performance also provides an example of how participation in Olympiads can expose school students to competitive environments while encouraging them to strengthen reasoning and problem-solving skills.
