New Delhi:Aluminium prices fell marginally by 65 paise to Rs 348 per kg in futures trade as participants trimmed their positions amid a weak trend in spot markets. Aluminium for delivery in August fell by 65 paise or 0.19 per cent to Rs 348 per kg in 3,516 lots. Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.

Copper futures climb on firm spot trend

Copper futures rose by Rs 1.40 to Rs 1,373.50 per kg on Thursday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for August delivery rose by Rs 1.40, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs 1,373.50 per kilogram in a business turnover of 8,500 lots.

Zinc futures rise on high bets

Zinc prices rose by 0.30 per cent to Rs 400.40 per kg in futures trade due to higher bets by market participants. Zinc contracts for August delivery edged up 0.30 per cent in 2,319 lots.
