CREDAI Vijayawada has welcomed the state government’s building rule reforms stating that they will provide a major boost to the housing and construction sector while strengthening Ease of Doing Business and attracting fresh investments.

Speaking at a meeting, Dasari Rambabu, general secretary of CREDAI Andhra Pradesh, said the reforms align with the Centre’s Deregulation 2.0 initiative and the State’s vision of Speed of Doing Business. Chairman Cherukuri Satish Babu said the measures would help offset rising construction costs and enable developers to offer more affordable housing.

President G S R Mohan Rao described the Uniform Zoning Regulations as a landmark reform that would simplify approvals and boost investor confidence. Kunduru Raghuram and Tummala Vamsi Krishna said provisions such as higher permissible building heights, instalment-based fee payments, simplified setback norms and expanded use of TDR bonds would accelerate urban development.

CREDAI thanked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, minister Nara Lokesh and municipal administration minister P Narayana for the progressive reforms.
