TheGuntur district administration will launch the sale of rice at affordable prices through selected Rythu Bazaars and rice mill outlet stores across the district from August 2, according to Guntur district joint collector Ashutosh Srivastava.

He reviewed arrangements at a meeting with officials of the concerned departments and traders at the Collectorate on Friday. Speaking on this occasion, he called upon all stakeholders to extend their full cooperation for the successful implementation of the initiative. He said rice at affordable prices will be made available at Chuttugunta Rythu Bazaar in Guntur West, the Rythu Bazaar near the Bus Stand in Guntur East, Ponnur Rythu Bazaar, GI Rythu Bazaar in Tenali, the Rythu Bazaar at the Market Yard in Mangalagiri, Sri Rama Appaji Nilayam at Gandhi Bomma Centre in Tadikonda, and Vijaya Krishna General Stores in Prathipadu.

Assistant Director of Agricultural Marketing Satyanarayana Chowdary and other officials attended the meeting.
