“Continuouslearning, skill development and effective communication are essential for students to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving global industry. The years spent in college play a crucial role in shaping both professional competence and personal growth,” said Padmaja Sriram, regional leader, Talent Acquisition–APAC, AT&T, Hyderabad, while addressing the Freshers’ Day Celebrations–2026 at Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education (Deemed to be University) on Friday.

The programme welcomed the newly admitted undergraduate students of the Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha School of Engineering through motivational sessions, cultural performances and interactive activities. M Rajayya, president of Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education (SAGTE), said the institution was established with a vision to impart quality education and develop competent professionals. He encouraged students to take inspiration from the institution’s distinguished alumni and strive for excellence through continuous learning.

Vice-Chancellor Prof P Venkateswara Rao urged students to make the best use of the opportunities available on campus and cultivate discipline, technical expertise and values to become successful engineers and responsible citizens.

Dean Prof D Venkata Rao encouraged freshers to undertake socially relevant projects, while Prof V Mallikarjuna, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering and Convener of Freshers’ Day 2026, highlighted the institution’s world-class facilities and advised students to embrace technology while upholding ethical values.
