TheI’m game trailer has been out today, introducing the audiences to a stylish crime thriller centered around gambling and featuring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. The film is directed by NahasHidhayath, the man behind the blockbuster RDX, which sees its dubbed version on the way as well. Although primarily a Malayalam movie, I’m Game will be released across India in various dubbed languages.

The trailer sees Dulquer Salmaan playing a gutsy gambler who seems to control the flow of both high-rolling markets as well as underground matches. The I’m Game trailer showcases the protagonist’s luxurious lifestyle, but also delves into his psyche, where the psychiatrist (played by KayaduLohar) seems to have a differing opinion about the man’s thoughts.

As the 90-second promoscope unravels, it becomes clear that I’m Game is primarily set in places associated with gambling activities – be it inside a high-class casino, a rowdy cricket stadium, or a corporate office space. Moreover, it seems that the game and money are at the center of virtually everything that happens in the film. NahasHidhayath appears to have taken a different route this time around as compared to the highly successful RDX. While the director managed to pull off an excellent action entertainer with the former project, I’m Game sees him attempting to make a commercial film that touches upon a rather controversial topic.

The I’m Game trailer may not indicate a substantial emotional quotient, but the very fact that such a film is being made in Malayalam suggests that the movie possesses a certain degree of appeal. The film has impressive cast that includes names like Mysskin, Antony Varghese, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Vinay Forrt, and Kathir apart from the lead pair of Dulquer Salmaan and KayaduLohar. Jimshi Khalid has been handling the camera, while the music has been composed by Jakes Bejoy. Notably, the film is set to release during the Onam holiday, which makes it even more anticipated as one of the biggest Malayalam movies of the year.
