UttarPradesh is gearing up to showcase its industrial strength and export potential on the global stage with the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026, scheduled to be held at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, from September 25 to 29. Reviewing preparations on Friday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the event would be a significant step towards making Uttar Pradesh a leading hub of global trade, manufacturing and exports.

This year’s theme, “UP for Global Growth: Innovation, Manufacturing and Exports,” reflects the state’s ambition to attract global investors and expand exports. The event is expected to feature over 2,400 exhibitors, 1.5 lakh registered B2B buyers, 4.5 lakh B2C visitors, and more than 550 international buyers from 85 countries. The government is targeting over 4,000 MoUs, proposed investments worth ₹3,200 crore, and business enquiries exceeding Rs 13,500 crore.

More than 27 sectors, including ODOP, ODOC, MSMEs, electronics, defence and aerospace, agriculture, tourism, startups, EVs, textiles, handicrafts and healthcare, will be showcased. Special knowledge sessions will focus on Artificial Intelligence, electronics manufacturing, digital trade, global Free Trade Agreements, food processing, road safety, labour codes and e-commerce.

The CM also directed officials to enhance international outreach, strengthen infrastructure, security and EV bus services, and promote Uttar Pradesh’s cultural heritage through daily performances.

During the review, progress of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Area Development Scheme was also assessed. BVG Group, TCS and Hiranandani Group have expressed interest in the project, which aims to establish 17 skill development centres in the first phase, train 10 lakh youth annually, and achieve 80% placement for trained candidates.
