NelloreRural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has inaugurated AP 1st Ranking Carrom Tournament 2026 (Men& Women) at Nellore Club here on Friday. As many as 200 men and women players from various districts across the State participated in the event, jointly organised by Nellore District Carrom Association and Andhra State Carrom Association.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Kotamreddy claimed that the State government is giving high priority to develop sports and providing cash incentives of up to Rs 10 lakh to outstanding sportspersons. He encouraged the players to make the best use of these opportunities and bring laurels to both State and nation.

ASCA general secretary Sheik Abdul Jaleel informed that top six players in both men and women categories will be selected to represent Andhra Pradesh State team in forthcoming national-level competitions. Free accommodation, food and all necessary arrangements were provided to the participants.

Nellore District Carrom Association president Mannarayana, Chairman and former Ranji Cricketer Malireddy Kotareddy, APTRANSCO Director J Venkateswara Rao, APSPDCL SEs BV Sesha Reddy and K Raghavendra and others participated in the event.
