GovernmentWhip Addanki Dayakar on July 31 levelled sensational allegations against the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, claiming that senior party leader T Harish Rao had allegedly commissioned Tantric occult rituals to prevent rainfall across Telangana and spark public resentment against the Congress government.

Addressing the media, Addanki Dayakar claimed that T Harish Rao arranged rituals at the Jai Aghora Kali temple in Shivamogga, Karnataka, and in Trichy, Tamil Nadu locations he described as hubs for Tantric practices. Questioning the motive behind these ceremonies, he asked whether the intention was to trigger drought conditions to obstruct government welfare and development initiatives.

The Government Whip alleged that BRS leadership had grown desperate after losing power and was resorting to superstitious practices for political advantage. Claiming BRS leaders turned into Aghoras because they cannot accept being out of power, Addanki Dayakar questioned whether these rituals were conducted on the instructions of K Chandrashekar Rao or if T Harish Rao was acting entirely on his own.
