BRS senior leader Peddi Sudarshan Reddy was laid to rest at his native village Nallabelli in Narsampet after he breathed his last at 12.51 am on Friday.

Thousands of followers and party cadres came to Nallabelli village to pay their tributes and take part in the final journey of Peddi Sudarshan Reddy. The shops were shut in the town as a mark of respect towards Sudarshan Reddy.

Party senior leaders including working president KT Rama Rao, BRSLP leader T Harish Rao, former minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao and others participated in the funeral.

Sudarshan Reddy entered politics through the Youth Congress and joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) at the time of the party's inception in 2001. He was elected as the ZPTC (Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency) member from Nallabelli mandal and served as the Zilla Parishad Floor Leader.

Although he contested the 2014 Assembly elections from Narsampet as a TRS candidate for the first time without success, he achieved a resounding victory in his second attempt in 2018, becoming the MLA for Narsampet. Between 2018 and 2023, he served as the Chairman of the Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation and as a member of the Legislative Assembly's Public Accounts Committee.
