Hyderabad: In a joint operation, the Commissioner's Task Force, Charminar Zone, along with Saifabad Police, apprehended three persons on July 31 for allegedly illegally procuring and selling Mephentermine Sulphate injections. According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, A Srinivasa Rao, the accused were identified as Shaik Faheem, Mohd Nayeem, and Ibrahim Hussain, all residents of Natraj Nagar, Tappachaputra.

Acting on credible information, police caught the trio at Shree Maruti Logistics, beside the HP petrol pump lane within Saifabad police limits. Police seized 100 Mephentermine Sulphate Injection IP-Mephpro 10 ml vials, three mobile phones, and a Yamaha Aerox scooty, together worth around Rs 4 lakh. During questioning, the accused allegedly admitted to illegally procuring the injections via transport from Shakti Huda of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, to sell at inflated rates. Police warned that misusing Mephentermine without a doctor's prescription can trigger severe health risks, including cardiac arrest, high blood pressure, and other life-threatening cardiovascular complications.
