Inview of the prevailing war conditions in West Asia, the Telangana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TG-RERA) has extended the completion timelines of RERA-registered projects scheduled for completion on or after February 28, 2026, by four months.

The TG-RERA has taken this decision to ensure the smooth completion of projects while safeguarding the interests of homebuyers. The authority stated that the ongoing conflict in West Asia has affected the availability and movement of materials and other project-related activities, warranting an extension of the completion period.

In accordance with Section 6 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, which provides for the extension of the registration period of real estate projects in circumstances such as war that adversely affect project execution, the authority has granted a four-month extension to all Telangana RERA-registered projects scheduled for completion on or after February 28, 2026.

The authority said the decision was taken after considering the provisions of the Act while balancing the interests of homebuyers and ensuring the timely completion of ongoing real estate projects.
