A mega cheque model for refunds under APTIDCO–PMAY (U) NTR Nagar Housing Scheme was distributed at a programme at Anantapur Municipal Corporation premises on Friday.

A cheque model worth Rs 3,25,42,445 was handed over to 1,174 beneficiaries under the Corporation’s jurisdiction. Of the 5,707 eligible APTIDCO beneficiaries identified, the State government has released Rs. 8,91,40,000. So far, 1,964 have submitted the required details. The current distribution covers those, whose particulars were verified in Phase-I and Phase-II.

Commissioner Jaswanth Rao said the beneficiaries’ details would be forwarded to the banks, and the refund amounts would be credited directly to their accounts within one or two days after formalities. Another 707 cases are under re-verification, which is being expedited.

Eligible persons who paid under the scheme but have not yet received refunds or houses were urged to submit their documents at the Corporation office.
