          <lang class="3" style="Headline2" font="Franklin Gothic Medium Cond" fontStyle="Regular" size="16">Senior BRS party leader and former Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy passed away while undergoing treatment at Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad in the early hours on Friday. He was 54 years old. On July 26, he fell critically ill at his residence in Hanumakonda and after receiving emergency treatment at Rohini Hospital, he was shifted to Hyderabad. He suffered cardiac arrest due to a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lungs). Although he recovered after nearly 45 minutes of CPR, his condition became critical due to a lack of neurological response. Despite the medical team’s six-day effort to save him, they were unsuccessful.</lang>

People from villages, tribal hamlets and towns turned up in large numbers to bid a final farewell to a leader who had stood by them in their times of need, walked alongside them during the Telangana movement and worked for the development of the constituency as an MLA. BRS leaders, party workers, former public representatives and Telangana activists, besides people from various sections cutting across political affiliations, participated in the final journey.</lang>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">The main roads of Narsampet turned into a sea of humanity as people participated in the final procession. People lined the route and paid tearful tributes to their beloved leader. The massive turnout disrupted vehicular movement in Narsampet for nearly six hours.</lang>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">The mortal remains of Peddhi Sudarshan Reddy were taken from Hyderabad to Narsampet on Friday morning in a specially decorated vehicle. After reaching Hanumakonda, the mortal remains were brought to the Martyrs’ Stupa at Adalat Junction around 8 am. Political leaders, Telangana activists, BRS leaders, party workers, journalists, followers and members of the public paid rich tributes to the former MLA, who had played a significant role in the Telangana statehood movement. The mortal remains were later taken towards Narsampet via Hunter Road. At around 9 am, when the mortal remains reached Girnibavi on the outskirts of Narsampet, a large number of people gathered to receive their beloved leader. Many broke down on seeing his mortal remains and paid their last respects amid slogans of “Peddhi Amar Rahe.” The final procession then began through the main roads of Narsampet.</lang>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">Peddhi Sudarshan Reddy’s wife, Sapna, broke down on seeing thousands of people arriving from across the constituency to pay their last respects to her husband. She became emotional at the outpouring of affection and respect shown by the people. The affection displayed by the public and the emotional farewell along the route moved the family members as well. Several followers and party workers recalled their association with Peddhi Sudarshan Reddy and mourned his death.</lang>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">After the final procession in Narsampet, the mortal remains of Peddhi Sudarshan Reddy were taken to his native Nallabelli. Thousands of people from Nallabelli and neighbouring villages and tribal hamlets gathered to bid a final farewell to their native son. BRS working president KT Rama Rao, former minister T Harish Rao, former public representatives from the erstwhile Warangal district, party leaders, activists, Telangana movement colleagues and followers reached Nallabelli and paid their respects.</lang>

        <lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">Later, the last rites were performed as per traditional customs in the presence of family members, relatives, close associates, Telangana movement colleagues, political leaders and followers. The cremation was completed around 6 pm.</lang>
